NAI National workshop, from Virginia to Alaska

In the past two days I have learned more about NAI than I ever did, it has been great to sit at a Board meeting and find out first hand where the organization is heading.

On top of that i have met with old friends and made new ones, in the process I am learning new interpretive tools and techniques.

The vibe of this conference is awesome, everybody smiling, eager to network and help each other. Everybody is relaxed and laid back and nobody seem to care about what happens in the world.

For 5 days the time stops and is our opportunity to recharge batteries, get energized and excited about what we do as interpreters. It makes me sad to think that I will have to wait an entire year to meet again great people and have fun in the process.

Luckily the NAI Regional conference will be in February and this is a great opportunity to learn what interpreters are doing on the south east,
